The Airbnb Tool That’s Changing UI Design
UI animation makes the UX a little more interesting, fun and unexpected. It can be argued that UI animation is an integral part of the user experience.

Mark Wilson discusses Lottie, Airbnb’s prototyping tool. Lottie is an open-source animation tool that’s changing how engineers build rich animation during app development.
Instead of a UX designer prototyping an animation before sending it to an engineer to re-create, Lottie allows designers can create an animation that can be implanted directly into the product.
Lottie just exports a swanky video to your touchscreen but the real magic is the fact that the videos string together to make beautiful animated elements and the videos can play on-screen to respond to different gestures such as swipes, scrolls and swipes.
