Learn how to prototype web and mobile apps

Installing the Software Development Kit (SDK)

The first thing you have to do if you want to code an integration with Justinmind Prototyper is to download our SDK. This SDK is an Eclipse IDE with all the required libraries already included. Once downloaded just unzip it in a folder and launch it. It will request you to set another folder as ‘workspace’ for all your project files. Choose one and press ok. Then, a screen similar to this one will appear:

This is the typical welcome window for the Eclipse IDE. Just close it and let’s build our first integration with Prototyper.

You can import from a data base and turn your tables into Data Masters using the menu option File – Import – Data Master from CSV. As for the web service, you can either export the prototype to HTML files and add the web service by code or use the HTML widget and place the code for the web service there.

Hi Admin, sounds awesome! We have a project where we need to build a prototype where we trigger some action in an external system from a SOAP web service call we make from the prototype.

We actually don’t need to consume/process the response of the web service request – the important thing is to make the request (we’ll use Justinmind to simulate the response). We just need to demonstrate that we can make a web request.

What would the code look like in the HTML widget to make a web service call? Can you point at any examples or doco we could read? Many thanks!
