Adding custom widgets in shared prototype

Answered Chris 6 years ago

I am new to the platform, new employer. We are working on a shared prototype and I thought if I created custom widgets in the shared prototype that everyone else would be able to access them. Instead, it seems like each team member has to import the custom widgets into their local version of the shared prototype, which makes no sense to me. Am I missing something?

Hi Chris,

You can use a shared widget library. You can learn more about that here: https://www.justinmind.com/support/shared-ui-libraries-for-your-prototyping-tool/

I am using Justinmind Ver. 8.4.1 and there is no option to share my widget library as in the above link. Only Export. I am using an Enterprise version of the app.

Hi Chris,

According to our database, you are actually using the Professional version. You can go to 'About Justinmind' in your application to confirm this. Unfortunately sharing widget libraries is only available for the Enterprise version, so you will need to manually export and send the library.

Best,

Danielle

Hi Danielle,

Thanks for that info. I have only been onsite for a week so didn't know what version of the software I had.
