Cannot draw a connection between components in the scenarios editor.

Not a Problem Victor Conesa 8 years ago

I'm unable to draw components between 2 components in the scenarios editor. I currently have 11 scenarios and my file is saved as a shared prototype where scenarios have to be unlocked.

It was previously working but after pulling down the latest commit, it just doesn't work anymore.

I have had this happen before and had to recreate the scenario from scratch. This feature is flakey at best.

I fixed the issue by saving a copy locally. I'll later update the teamwork .vp file on JIMs shared prototype servers.

Not great but at least I can continue working. Sorry to be a pain but i'm really maximising every single feature in JIM. So I'm probably always one step away from hitting the boundaries of the app and and finding bugs.

It has done it again. I was working locally and it was fine. The moment I reshared the prototype under the "teamwork" menu item it reverted back to really glitchy behaviour.

Hi Brad,

We're sorry that you're encountering this. In order to assist you, can you describe what's happening in more detail? Do you see an error message? If possible, could you please create a video capture?

0a. Create a prototype and add a scenario based on a mixture of existing and new screens.

0b. Repeat 0a to create all scenarios

0c. Share prototype with team (via Teamwork > Share prototype)

1. Open shared prototype (Teamwork > Open shared prototype)

2. After prototype has downloaded goto scenarios tab

3. Lock scenario in the scenario panel to work on it

4. Add a 2 new screens, decisions or actions (A and screen B)

5. Try to draw a connection between them

Trying to draw a connection I get presented with the attached cursor and the line won't draw. The same icon is also presented for connecting existing screens. I can delete connections but I can't create them.

To fix the issue I have to save the file locally (File > save a copy), close justinmind and open the local copy. I can then create connections between items.

I'm having the same problem.

Working on a Mac and the little arrows don't appear.

I can just drag/move the components but there is nothing to use to connect.

I need to switch to another tool again to specify scenarios - and this makes one always think about doing everything in the same place.
