Installed Justinmind on my laptop and no option is available to input my Register Key

Not a Problem Steve Sclarow 7 years ago

Good afternoon,

I have a student with aMacbook who downloaded justinmind and is unable to input the Register Key. We purchased a professional key for all of our students; however, thisparticular installation provides no option to input the Register Key. Wetried uninstalling and using different profiles to no avail. There are nooptions to input the Register Key under the Help tab or under Preferences.

Please advise.

Thank you,

Steve

Hi Steve,

In the newest version, we changed our license system to rely on emails of users, instead of license keys.

First, have the account owner of the license login to their online account. The next step is to add users to the account, which is how these users will be able to use the license. The easiest way to do this for so many users is through importing a .csv file with the listed users. You can learn more about that process here: https://www.justinmind.com/support/how-to-import-account-users-from-a-csv-file/

After they are added as a users, they should open Justinmind, and they will be prompted to login to their Justinmind account. Have them enter their account credentials, and then their licensed copy will be activated.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Danielle

I have an urgent project I have to deliver tomorrow (weekend) and because I updated to the newest version now I can't use my Key because you changed to an email system, This is beyond idiotic. Obviously corporate licenses are bought through a company email and password I don't know. I don't think I have ever been so pissed off at a company. Asking my company to cancel my license on Monday. Plenty options out there to stick to one that decides to screw users like this.

Hi Hernan,

We can help you sort this out - we just need the email that the license was bought through, and we can add you as a user, and you'll be able to use Justinmind.

We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience as we work with you to resolve this issue.

Best,

Danielle

Hi Danielle,

Thanks for the quick reply. I spoke with the procurement team at my company, and they think they used the following email to buy the license: grrussell@ebay.com

Hi Hernan,

Your account has 1 user, which is currently being used by grrussell@ebay.com. In order for you to be able to use Justinmind, I will need to transfer the license to you, which will give you control of billing. Is that ok? The alternative is to upgrade your license to 2 users, and you won't need to be added as the account owner - you can be added as a regular user instead.

Best,

Danielle

Also, I had it installed on two computers that the company got rid of, so I don't have access to them, but since they have the old credentials they shouldn't be able to use my license, right? The new licensing system is a little confusing and is making me waste time please help thanks.
