Resize the Canvas

Answered Victor Conesa 12 years ago

Simple question: how do you resize the canvas? I've looked around but can't change it from the default of 800x600.

Thanks

iPhone and iPad screen sizes can't be changed (though they do allow scrolling)

You can change the screen size of any other device type by selecting the base page (icon that looks like a monitor or phone) in the Outline palette, and then looking to the Properties palette, where you'll see inputs to change the width and height.

Well, the canvas is actually infinite, depends on the content of your screen. But if you want to manage the resolution guides then you have to go to view -> Resolution guides

Yes, that's what I was after. However, I must say "Resolution Guides" isn't too intuitive and not particularly documented. Further, it preferably should be discoverable through a right-click of the canvas/background and/or in a background panel property setting.

Thanks

Good suggestion.

In the demo video it is next to the zoom drop down, it does not add much clutter to the interface, and it is something that most designers think about for their first step.

We'll think about it.

instead of putting a hotspot in every single cell and adding an event into it to move the table, i found the container scrolling method :)
