Justinmind's new release 8.5 is here!

Steven Douglas shared this announcement 13 months ago

Hi everyone!

We're excited to announce Justinmind 8.5. Our engineers have been working hard on this one and we think you're going to love it.

This update gives you full design system control, enhanced widget customization (woo!) and smoother developer hand off (cue sigh of relief...).

Here is everything you can expect from Justinmind 8.5:

Replace Styles: Replace styles allows you to find, change and update various CSS styles in your prototype at once. That includes:

  • Fonts
  • Font styles
  • Font sizes
  • Font colors
  • Colors
  • Background colors

To use this new feature go to Edit > Replace Styles. You can mke one change at a time, one-by-one or apply all changes in a click. Now hundreds of changes take no time at all.

Widget library Edit Mode: We know that editing your widget libraries before this update was a little painful. To change that, we created Edit Mode. It's here you can apply global changes to your widget libraries.

These changes can be sent to everyone using the library, too. To edit your widget libraries, right-click the gear icon and click "Edit library".

Maintaining your design system just got a whole lot easier.

No more screen hopping in the developer-friendly UI: In Justinmind 8.5, comments and requirements are available for developers to read at a glance, directly in the user interface.

Better prototype simulations: Simulation is now smoother. Before it was a little clunky but we ironed out some issues and now simulating and interacting with your prototypes is a smoother, more realistic experience.

As always, let us know what you think. And happy prototyping!

Hi, I have downloaded the 8.5 trial which runs out in 4 days though I haven't used it as the font is extremely small. I want to use the product but cant. Do you have a fix for this I can download? Ive read that this has been an issue ongoing with your versioning.

Thanks David

Look for and launch this file and it should fix the issue:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Justinmind\Justinmind Prototyper 8.5.0\JustinmindPrototyperHiDPI.exe

Thanks Danielle! That works great. I will upgrade to the Pro now I know it works. Cheers David
