Shared Widgets not uploading to Usernote as a publisher account

Solved Victor Conesa 11 years ago

Hi,

As a publisher I cannot upload shared widgets to cooperate with my colleagues on prototypes. The errormessage says only an usernote account owner can do this. How can we as a publisher share widgets? ac9c8f62c5c41eb0f306bd3aea5ee08b

Only the owner of an account can upload a shared library. So if a publisher wants to have it shared first he need to export his library into a file (Widgets -> Export library), send that library to the owner of the account and then that person can import the library in his Prototyper and share it.

It would be handy to just be able to upload/share widgets with the team working on it. (The workers will be the persons editing/saving/etc. The owner can be a project manager).

Maybe a setting @ Owner side to enable upload of user widgets to the shared project.

Not a bad idea. We'll think about it. Thanks!

I agree the team members who are making the updates need to have the privileges and perhaps the account owner has a setting to grant these permits

Doesn't make any sense to have the shared library managed solely by the Account Owner. Bummer. This should be managed via permissions.

Oh hey Ed, I was researching the same thing. (21 days later)

The thing is, if we allow that, we need to add a chick in/check out system like in the shared properties to avoid conflicts. so, even though we'll do it eventually, is not something easy to do. so it will take some time to have it. Sorry.

Hi,

did the issue change in the meantime?

it would be really great to share a widget library which could be updated and enriched by every member of a team.
