Is there a way to create subheaders for data lists in justinmind?

Answered Elreno3 5 years ago

Has anyone been able to successfully create subheaders for data lists in justinmind? I've attached an image for clarity.

Thanks

Instead of creating subheaders outside of the Data Master, create them as fields within the Data Master. Then, create the parent headers outside of the Data Master. We've used rectangles and just placed them over the Data List. Check out the attached example.

This is a brilliant solution, however, when I resize a subhead column to 2px to simulate a hidden column, I need the parent header to adjust accordingly. I guess there is no way of achieving this using the data lists table layout.

Not using the Data List table layout, no.

But you can add another action that resizes (or hides) the parent header after hiding the column. Additionally, if you group all of the parent header rectangles into a Dynamic Panel with a horizontal layout, the other parent headers will move into place where the one header was hidden - so there won't be any gaps.
