Expanding and collapse content with dynamic panels wont work on mobile

I followed the tutorial to create an expanding/collapsing menu. It works fine in the browser but wont work on android. There is sometimes a momentary flicker of the active panel I want to show on tap but it doesn't fully appear. This is the tutorial i followed:

If i press and hold for a few seconds it seems to work but not really any good for user testing :(
