Cant seem to toggle, help needed please

Hi Guys

This seems a simple task, but simply im doing something wrong. On the attached screenshot im trying to toggle either the X icon or even the letter X as text but just cant do it. Can anyone shed any light on what im doing wrong?

I want the user to be able to click on the cell in the table which displays an X and click it again to remove the X.

Hi Andy,

Toggle is for check boxes or radio buttons, so it won't work well for regular buttons. An 'on click' event would work better here.
