How to copy/paste interactions (not all events)?

Answered Victor Conesa 10 years ago

I have a simple interaction that occurs when a button is tapped. I want to save time and use that same interaction when another button is tapped. When I click the dropdown arrow next to the Interaction and choose Copy Interaction from the context menu, I'm not sure it actually makes the copy since Paste does not become clickable. When I go to the event section of the other button (the dropdown arrow next to "On Tap") so I can paste the interaction, the Paste button is greyed out and I'm not sure if a "legal' place to click is required so that I am allowed to paste my copied interaction into this new button's event window.

I can copy/paste all events with no problem (wherein a paste within the target event will replace all existing events within it -- just in case someone was not aware -- so be sure you don't have anything important there that you don't want to overwrite just yet!).

I want to know how to do a copy/paste interaction for future reference -- copy/paste all events was sufficient to save me some time for now.

Thanks!

Paste interaction is only enabled for the events associated to the same widget where you copied the interaction from. This is definitely a bug in version 5.5 that has been already reported to our development team and we'll try to have it fixed in the next update. We apologize for the inconvenience.

In version 6.9 you can copy an interaction, but you can't paste it anywhere that I can see (not in the same widget, nor in another widget) There is note even a disabled 'Paste' menu item.

Hi Roy,

At the screenshot attached you will see highlighted the buttons you can use to "Paste" any interaction.

Best,
