User able to resize the width of columns of a table

Answered Victor Conesa 8 years ago

Hello everyone!

I would like to know if there is a way to build a Data List (a table) which the user is able to resize the columns in runtime, pretty much like excel does.

So the user can customize the columns and the table view. Sometimes, there is no enough space in the user's screen and the table does not fit in it, then the use can resize the columns to adequate the table size and read the relevant info in a table.

I know that the browsers offer the Zoom feature, but i would like to able the user to decide the columns width.

Thanks in advance!

Best Regards,

Hi Gintoki,

You can change the default data grid columns width if you select the data grid and resize it. This way all the columns will be resized proportionally. However you won't be able to do that during simulation.

Hello Sonia!

Thank you for your answer! In my question, I was referring during the simulation. So, JIM still does not have this feature available?

Is there any feature that I can combine to simulate this feature?

Any preview in considering this feature in the next versions of JIM?

Thank you very much!

Hi Gintoki,

there is a workaround but after trying it to show you we have realised that there is a bug, so I have transfered this information to our development team in order to fix it.

Hello. Any update on this? I'm needing a table that has cells with textarea widgets that will resize at runtime.

Thanks!
