Data master won't update

Known Kwanitt 2 years ago

Hi there,

I'm using the JIM 9.7.1 and have been trying to replicate my screen like the one shown on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-3t0-84kiU&ab_channel=Justinmind. The data master just won't update.

I also downloaded a file from this link as well: https://www.justinmind.com/community/attachments/873?token=e734c8cf8fbf79215f1007c9247579f4.zip and it doesn't work either as you can see in the screenshot below that the data in the data master is not updated.

I've attached my file in case you can help. In the prototype, when you tick on a checkmark and click the save button, the field called flag at the far right of the data list is updated to 1; however, this number is not recorded in the master data table.

I spent several hours working on it and still couldn't find the problem.

Thanks,

Kantanon

Hi Ria,

Is there any news on this topic? I still have tons of work after this.

Hello, sorry for the delay, the filter to show only the items that you have in check can be achieved by adding a set value event: filter , data master + check box.

the element that is modified with the first event works in simulation only, events do not modify data in edit mode.

Let me know if this information was useful to you.

Greetings.

Hi. Thanks for your answer, but it doesn't help.

Let me rephrase my question. Strip down all the complexity at this point, I haven't been able to successfully use the New, Modify, or Remove command to make permanent changes to a data master table as described even though I used the generate maintenance screens function. Am I missing something here? Please advise.

Thanks again.

Hello, it is not possible to make permanent changes in a data master, the events that are created in the prototyper only affect the simulation mode.
