On a retina monitor all SVG are blurry when designing but not when previewing

Under Consideration Slabbbe 5 years ago

When prototyping in the Justinmind application all vector graphics (SVG) are lowres on my retina computer. Other images and fonts are highres. When previewing with Simulate or looking at the final result everything is highres. Am I doing something wrong, is there something I can do to see it all in highres when creating/designing? (Have attached an image from editing in Justinmind and previewing)

Is there a specific widget library in which this occurs? Or is it all SVGs in Justinmind, including ones that you've imported yourself?

I believe it is all vector graphics, my own as well as from the default widgets. Attaching some samples from within JIM (top) and from Simulate (Bottom). (text is always highres)

To be clear, this is on MacOS. I tried the Windows version where everything inside JIM seems to be in lowres including texts and the JIM GUI it self. When viewing the result in Simulate everything is highres in Windows too.

We're trying to narrow down the issue. Can you try changing the color of one of the SVGs in the properties palette and see if that fixes the pixelation?

OK, great... thanks! Changing colors does not help (see attached file) The only detail I found being highres is the rounded corners of a button IF I set a border of 1px or more. If set to 0 the button corners are also lowres :-) ???

How zoomed in is your editor where the SVGs appear pixelated?

100% and if I set for example 400% it is even worse compared with the rounded button that seems to be correct (attached image)

hm, 18 month later and still the same problem. Sorry, but I really cannot design in JIM when all icons are blurry compared to other elements :-( in the working environment

Sample image: left icon captured from within JIM gui (soft), the right is when I simulate prototype (nice and crisp).

Hello,

This is a limitation we have. In future versions we'll have a way to make it look sharp even with zoom.

Thank you for your patience,
