Add/Update Rows in Datamaster from variable values

Solved elicxiarl 4 years ago

Hi, I am trying to add new rows in my datamaster using variables, but my datamaster is not updating. I followed the tutorials available on the web. When I simulate the prototype, the datalists show that the rows are being added, but when I check the datamaster, it is not showing and when I stopped the simulation, the values I input are not stored in the datamaster.

I am new to JustInMind, so I am new to its concepts. Also, what does the "+ Add" in the Data command mean?

It sounds like you're doing everything correctly if you see new rows added. Anything you add to your Data Master during simulation won't actually be saved in the prototype since the simulation is reset each time you load it. If you'd like to permanently add other values to your Data Master, you'll need to add them in the editor in the 'View and Edit records' tab in a Data Master.

The Add+ is used for combining two lists of data, usually select lists. You can see an example in the list here.
