Completed Victor Conesa 12 years ago

It would be great if there is an option to replace text of labels trought the complete document. That would be awsone

Yes, now there is only the find option.

And now you tell me ;) thanks! This is my first project in Just in mind and I'm still exploring :)

Great! We would love to know your thoughts about it.

Would this include the Comments functionality too???

This should definitely include Comments! Many times the name of an element will change and I have to go to every single occurrence instead of performing a global search and replace.

We didn't thought about including comments but you are right, it must include them too.

Do you have any idea when this enhancement could be implemented? This is standard functionality with wireframing tools such as Axure ... I would think a more robust tool such as JustinMind would allow this.

a very nice convincing comment, but I think you could have said:

"This is standard functionality in every editing software I use" :)

It's ok. I understand. I agree it's something you would expect on a software like this and, if you can't find it, you might get frustrated. We plan to have this in the 2nd quarter of 2012. Why so late? Well, cool things are going to happen very soon at Justinmind (it's a secret) and we're going to be busy until then.

Ok, well....until Q2 2012....is there some workaround? I have some 20+ labels with a specific user name, and I want to replace that string with "Your Name". Thanks!

You can use the 'search' option, then keep the search dialog opened while you change the texts

Hey, Victor is there a real Search and Replace system yet? I am not seeing it in 5.3

I'm afraid we gave priority to other things and it has been delayed.

That seems like a mistake. It's a core feature of almost every Windows program. Are there any tools for dong brute force replaces in the .vp file directly?

photo

The .vp files are actually a bunch of XML files all in a .zip file. So if you rename it to .zip and open it, you could change the XMLs with any text editor.

AH! Brilliant! Thanks very much, Victor!

Tried that, but after rezipping and changing the extension back to .vp, prototyper will give me an error while opening the file...

Hi Christian,

please, send your prototype to jim.support@justindmind.com, just only if it doesn't work.

A key term has changed in my interface. The term is pervasive everywhere, in many places. Man do I wish this feature was implemnted... :-(

but that seems to always crash for me !

Hi Stephane,

Could you please elaborate more about your issue?

Hi Sonia, the text object crashes my JustinMind Session. So when I was trying to search for to delete the text object it kept on crashing.

Hi, Does this happens always on the same prototype? Best. Sonia

You should give an option to search and replace option. If it is already there then let m know.

Thank you for your suggestion. We'll take it into account for future updates.
