Different screen types

Answered Josh2876 8 years ago

Hey guys. What exactly is the "Master" "Splash" & "Template" screens for?

Also, is there a way to see an overview of all your screens on one page and write comments around them with arrows to describe how an app will work?

Hi there,

You can find info about templates here: http://www.justinmind.com/support/int...

Master's here: http://www.justinmind.com/support/int...

Can you elaborate more on what you mean by a 'splash page'? Do you mean a loading page? If so, you can create that by creating a pause event and then an on page load event that will link to the next page.

You can see how all the pages and screens in the prototype will interact by clicking on the arrow next to User Interface at the top right of the screen and going to Site Map. You can also create your own way of showing how screens interact by going to Scenarios.

Hope this answers your questions.

Best,

Danielle

Many thanks Danielle.

There was a default screen loaded into my first project called, "Splash Page". Wasn't sure what it is meant for?

Did you load a premade prototype from here http://www.justinmind.com/examples ? That would explain why the splash (loading) page was there. If not and this was your first prototype, that sounds like a bug.

Hi. No i did not load a premade prototype. Can I just delete this screen or will it have an effect on the rest of my prototype?

You can just delete the screen - it was likely just a bug and shouldn't happen again.
