date value stored in mm-dd-ccyy format in csv file not loading in the datamaster

Answered np 6 years ago

Hi,

I am not able to load date values stored in a CSV file into a date file of a data master.

The sample date value is stored in between two commas e.g. ,9/25/2017,

Has anyone experience this issue? Any help?

Thanks,

np

Hi @np ,

Can you try using semicolons instead of commas when separating the data at the csv file?

Hi @SoniaDuran

I exported sample date file from the datamaster wizard to my pc; but when opened in excel I don't see an option save it back by semicolon as a delimiter. I see options using commas and TAB.

Also, first time when I tried to open the exported file, MS Excel throws an error saying the file format is incorrect etc...

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

well... I figured out the problem.. it looks like in the date type field the data needs to be exactly in the format mm/dd/ccyy

for the dates and month which are in single digits the wizard expects leading zeros. Apparently, it is not mentioned in any documentation that at least I read from the help and the support site.

Thanks

Hello @SoniaDuran,

Apparently, from today the date fields are not showing up on my mobile phone within the JIM app.

I don't have any issue in simulating within JIM PC prototype or while seeing the prototype html within the browser.

Also, will you please help me in my other questions posted today. I am stuck on loading category and multicategory field types from csv ( comma , semicolon) file into data master. I tried all kinds of options reviewed community blog, reviewed an example with Game Of Thrones prototype ...but ... no luck.

Thanks,

np
