How do I set a dynamic panel based upon the previous page
I have 3 dynamic panels in a screen and I would like each of these to be set as visible depending on what the previous page was and I am wondering how to do this, is there a tutorial that can help or can anyone help me

You can create events using the "previous screen" feature. See the screenshot attached.

Thank you sonia but that isn't quite what I needed as the previous page option disappears when you select 'set active panel' so I can't define that panel based on what the previous page was.
