Keyboard covering input text

Answered Victor Conesa 9 years ago

Is there a way to make a text input box slide up so the pop up keyboard on an IOS app doesn't cover the text field? The "Play Me" example app seems to have this function with its login screen.

Hi Henry,

You can download the example and open it with Justinmind to see the events that are defined. The event that does this is set on the Input_10 in group Username_define in the Signup_panel in the Login_panel dynamic panel.

The event basically moves the dynamic panel upwards.

I hope this helps you in your prototype.

Best,

Marc

I tried this but when I copy the event to my element, nothing happens.

I've recently learned that if the exact widget isn't in your prototype, you cannot copy the event from one screen/prototype to another... though any conditional expressions attached do in fact copy over.

If the event isn't that complicated I'd just take a screenshot of the working example and then mimic that in your example. You can also just copy over the widgets to your prototype/screen and that should include the events as well.

I transfered the options from the event to my project. By Hand. But nothing happens. I really don't know what I am doing wrong. Nothing is movin.

I'd suggest attaching your prototype here for the support people to look into. Since this question is years old, it could be things have changed since the instructions you're trying to follow were posted.

If you can't attach the .vp file, zip it then attach it or post a link where it can be sourced as sometimes I have issues attaching .vp files in this forum.
