Textfields gets cropped and fonts gabled.

Answered Victor Conesa 7 years ago

Just downloaded the trial of Justinmind, and I'm having some issues with fonts and text.

If I change fonts to say OpenSans, the font becomes a bunch of garbled characters.

The other issue is that text always gets cut off in any text field, or box, regardless if the size of the text field or box is big enough to contain twice the amount of text I have.

I'm using windows 10, and Ver. 7.1.0 of JiM.

Hi Johan,

For further investigation, please answer the following questions:

1.Check out if inside Justinmind on the dropdown, the font name has a small red F on its left.

2.Has your computer the OpenSans font installed outside Justinmind.? You should follow this path --> This PC / OS (C:) / Windows / Fonts

Hi Sonia, that's a yes to both questions. Initially it was only locally installed but since that didn't seem to work I used the download feature, which later displayed the red F but had no impact on things.

The biggest issue for me is the cropping of the text.

Hi Johan

Could you please try uninstalling the OpenSans font located at your computer? Probably, as the font is already installed on your computer and also at Justinmind, a conflict is being created between both.

Kindly let me know how it goes.

So am I understanding this correctly that I can't access locally installed fonts? Some fonts work and some don't it seems very random. but I will try and see what happens.

I didn't do anything yet, however today it seems to be working just fine.

No cropping, and all fonts local and Google fonts works just as expected.

Hi Johan,

That's odd. Let me know if something else happens.

Ok I still get the cropped text, and it seems it is related to the default font size 10, changing it to a smaller or larger value solves the issue.

Is there no way to change the default font and font size?
