Possible Bug Found - Windows 7 Display Resolution set to 125% zoom causes image export to export clipped images

Solved Victor Conesa 7 years ago

Hi, I am using this great software and went to File > Save All Images. The resulting images had the appearance that random columns of pixels were removed from top to bottom of the images. For example, I had a label on one screen that had the word iPhone in it, but the resulting label said iPone (but you could see a sliver of the h). This defect is evident all the way vertically in the image (meaning all pixels directly above and below the missing h are also missing).

I shared my workspace with a coworker, and it was exporting just fine on his computer. I suspected it might be the display resolution at play. We're both using the same laptop with Windows 7 installed. My resolution was set to 1920x1080 with 125% scaling in Control PanelAll Control Panel ItemsDisplay. His was set to 1600x900 with 100% scaling. I set my computer to those settings, and my images are now exporting correctly.

This visual defect was also evident in the canvas editor if I had zoomed in greater than 125%, it doesn't appear to be doing that now.

So I think the code that renders a screen has some bug in it that doesn't correctly take into account the user's current display scaling factor.
