Variables not passing between screens

Solved

I'm having trouble passing variables between screens. I can successfully change the variables on the same page, but when I link to a new page they revert back to default values. I am using an older version of IE (company policy, not choice), I will see if I can upgrade and if that will solve the issue...

You can try to install another web browser and then go to File -> Preferences and use that browser instead of the one installed in your company

The same thing, but I am using Chrome (latest)

I upgraded from IE7 to IE8 and it works now. Probably not that many people using IE7, but if you are, don't expect to pass variables between pages.

We don't support IE7 and we won't support it in the future either.

Hi, I'm having the same problem but with Data Masters. The data is being saved on the screen that I am using the controls, but if I navigate between screens I lose the data and it reverts to defaults.

Any help on this one? I'm using v.4.6 prototyper for mac. I get problem on Chrome, Firefox and Safara — all latest versions on Lion.

I've put so much work into creating the interaction it is maddening that this problem exists - unless it's user error!

I'm a bit confused after reading the user guide. Is there a special action that I need to take to persist the records held in a data master, so they appear on the next screen?

My scenario is this: populate some records in a data master on screen 1. Navigate to screen 2. Return to screen 1 and see the records that I'd created and populated into the data master.

It's a bug. Tomorrow we will launch an update with that fixed.

Thanks for your help and we apologize for the inconveniences.
