Ugly Justinmind Icon on Retina Macbook Pro Problem

I emailed support about this a few months ago and there wasn't anything that could be done it seemed.

I'm back to using JustInMind, so maybe there's an update. Justinmind is the only one out of dozens of apps which has an ugly icon. This started after I switched to my Retina Macbook Pro Lion, and now Mountain Lion.

For some reason, the app has a white square background around it while in the dock or launchpad. But when it's open, it shows the correct vector graphic with a transparent background. As soon as I close it, it goes back to the ugly white square graphic.

I have tried reinstalling the program, and I messed around with the app icon files a little bit but with no success.

Thanks for any help. c939d18e1469fadb4ac5101850162b1c

Hi,

We've fixed it for the next release. Would you mind to send your email address to jim.support at justinmind.com ? We would send you a beta version of the next release. We would like to check if that has been really fixed and we don't have any Retina Macbook to try it on.

I'm glad to hear you are working on it.

Though I don't really have the time to deal with the work involved with managing a beta installation.

So I guess JIM is aware of the issue, it's related to the Retina MBP, and there's nothing that can be done about it currently?

Thanks.

The problem is the icon file (.icns). It didn't have the icon for the retina resolution.

Ok, so I wonder why this problem only affects JIM? Most other apps did not make retina-specific icons, but they didn't have a problem.

Also, the JIM icon works just fine when the program is in an open state. It's how the icon is supposed to be: just the JIM icon with no white square background.
