System crashes when editing tables

Thai shared this problem 4 years ago
Solved

Deleting a column in a table causes the entire application to crash. This has occurred 4 times in my last 6 attempts.

And when modifying a table cell size using the Properties editor, all the cells collapse into various sizes, rendering the table useless. Undo does not reverse the action.

Hi Thai,

Could you send the following files to jim.support at justinmind.com so we can take a closer look:

For MAC users:

[folder of the user]/justinmind/6.1.0/.metadata/.log

[folder of the user]/justinmind/6.1.0/configuration/.log

[folder of the user]/justinmind/6.1.0/logs.log

These log files are inside a hidden folder so first you’ll need to enable hidden files on your Mac, you can follow the instructions from this link:

http://www.mikesel.info/show-hidden-f...

For PC users:

- The list of the contents of these folders: c:usersyouruserJustinmind(any folder you find inside)

- The file called 'logs.log' inside those folders

- The file .log located in c:usersyour userJustinmind(any folder you find inside).metadata

- The files ending in .log inside c:usersyour userJustinmind(any folder you find inside)configuration if any

Can you also send your prototype where this happens and let us know which table shows this behaviour since I'm not bein able to reproduce the error?

Best,

Marc

Jumped through hoops to get all the requested files to you guys, and then was told the issue has been fixed in 6.3.1. Nope, still crashing and collapsing.

Hi Thai,

I've been reviewing your ticket and you were told that this will be solved in the next software update; this was very close to the release of version 6.3.1 and might have lead to confusion.

I apologize for any misunderstanding there might have been and for the inconveniences this bug is causing.

Best,

Marc

Hi Marc,

Thank you for the clarification. That was exactly the misunderstanding I had.

I do want to note that this bug is NOT specific to tables/cells that contain events, as Luisa Barros stated in the ticket. It seems to occur on any table.

Thanks.
