Spread and Pinch gesture

Using Mac OSX 10.7.5

Building iPhone app.

Cannot find gesture widgets in Prototyper Pro.

When I 'view on device' we need to be able to simulate the spread/pinch (zoom in/out) feature.

Is that possible with Prototyper Pro, and if so, can you tell me the detailed way to do it?

Thank you very much.

You don't need gesture widgets. What you need is gesture events. Take a look at this tutorial: http://www.justinmind.com/prototyper/...

Hi John. Thank you for getting to this. I did read that several times before posting.

However I did not understand this section (pasted in):

"To define an event controlled by a gesture just select the 'Add event' option in Events tab and select the kind of gesture you want to capture. Then define what you want to do when that gesture happens."

I did not find 'zoom in' and zoom out' in there to define the response to gesture.

Is it in there?

I think it was not very clear how to use the gesture events. We are actually planning to add new and improved tutorials, and we might add this to our tutorials.

Take a look at this thread: http://www.justinmind.com/community/topic/how_to_scroll_zoom_drag_pan

On the second example, 'zooming.vp', Victor created a panel with 4 dynamic panels. On each of these panels, there is an image and '+' and '-' buttons. One is the default image and the other three are the zoom states of the image. The '+' and '-' buttons are set to change panels when clicked. Instead of using '+' button you use 'on Pinch Open' and for '-'' button, you use 'on Pinch Close' event.

Ok, gotcha. Also discovered that the code in iOS that causes pinching to zoom in and out has to be coded. It is not native on iOS.

Wouldn't it be easier to tell the 'view on device' simulator to simply zoom on the image, rather than creating static zoom images and loading them to fake a zoom?

The feature is probably not implemented yet. I will tell our guys about this. Thanks for the feedback.

Nathan,

On a second thought about your last post, do you mean to let the simulator to automatically do the job for zoom -- just like the auto scroll where you don't need to use 'swipe up' / 'swipe down' actions?

Your issue may be fixed using 'resize' action. Please send a request to jim.support@justinmind.com so I can give you a simple prototype.
