Scale To Device Width

Hi,

First of all, I would like to say JIM is awesome. It has a lot of great features. However, I keep wanting to scale my prototype to the width of the device - Even if I export the HTML and modify it with the above code, it does not scale to the width.

I know there is an option in Simulation Settings to scale your prototype. However this only works when targeting one resolution, which is not what I'm looking for. And using tables to scale the prototype is too time consuming and is very limiting in regards to functionality. Hopefully there is an easy way to achieve a global scale that I have over looked.

Thanks.

Hi,

You can combine on Page Load event with resize action and either:

1) calculate the with using the window width constant

2)have the size be relative to parent

You have to add as many actions as items you have on the screen.

This should let you scale your prototype to any width you want.

Best,

Marc

Hi Marc,

Thanks for your reply. However, it seems like a very complex process compared to how straight forward it is in html:

meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width"

Maybe I'm missing something, but having to add an action for each item on the screen is very time consuming and hard to edit. Considering how many device/resolutions are out there, I think having one place to globally change this functionality would be very useful.

Kind regards.
