On Page Load for objects does not work

Solved

I have a screen called "User Dashboard" that has several dynamic tabs, each of which has several tabs.

Now, based on some action in say Dynamic_Tab_1.Tab_1 (like setting a variable to a certain value), I would like to populate Dynamic_Tab_1.Tab_2 fields (such as text boxes, check boxes, data grids etc) on a On Page Load event.

However, much as I have tried, I cannot get the On Page Load interactions to kick off. I am instead having to embed a lot of the logic in "On Click" events on the button that goes from Tab_1 to Tab_2.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Ashish

Could you try this prototype http://justinmind.s3.amazonaws.com/on... and tell me if it works for you please? It's a quick prototype of the interaction you are trying to do.

Hi,

No - this did not work either.

Tested in Mac OS X Leopard with Justinmind Prototyper 4.2 and it works. The prototype works this way:

The first screen has a place to insert a value and a button that goes to another screen. That screen has another label that shows a hidden layer when you click on it. If you click in that label and all the three values are filled (and the last one with the text introduced in the first screen) that means the onpageload works.

Mmm we tested in a Windows 7 and it seems it works. Could you please follow these steps and publish a screenshot of the final step?

I downloaded the above zip file to try the prototype, as I need to perform this function as well. When I unzipped, there is no .vp file. How do I use this example?

It's not a zip but a .vp file. Maybe your browser is unzipping the .vp file automatically. Just download the file and, if you see your browser renamed it to .zip, just rename it back to .vp and open it.
