My wishes for new widgets / updates

petteri.miinalainen shared this idea 6 years ago
Completed

New native widgets needed

1) Heading with H1, H2, H3, H4 options that would translate nicely with html-protos

2) Navigation menu that would automatically reflect folders & pages

3) dynamic graphs, based on query for example. They would read dynamic data.

4) update for dynamic data to use html5 local storage so, that once i add something it would not disappear when i restart simulation

Thanks Petteri. We will take it into account for future updates.

How about a widget set for JQTouch elements? http://www.jqtouch.com/

Having the iPhone, Android, etc Widget Sets is great, but I really want to see/help JustInMind be cutting edge for mobile prototypes..

It's a good idea. Justinminders around there, any votes?

Petteri's #2 sounds reasonable.

For #1 I would like to hear more on why.

#3 makes a nice wow-effect with customers.

#4 is beyond my comprehension.

Jeff's idea about improving real mobile prototyping sounds really good and something that JIM should definitely do to stay modern.

Good stuff guys!

Well, we are going to add many mobile prototyping features very soon. Stay tunned.

Markku, for #1 I want to embed page title with certain style, sub headers with other. Currently there's only one style that gets applied over any changes i make to page template's label item and reapply styles. I want to make rough template first and then fine-tune styles as per needed.

For #4. If i make dynamic data components and add new rows, they disappear every time i restart simulation. That is confusing for clients that input data using prototype. HTML5 would allow to save data.

For #3 there was typo, i meant jquery. It would be really cool to input something with dynamic data / data masters and see jquery charts updating.

Thanks Petteri.

#1 - I first thought you were aiming to gain some advantage for HTML coding. But the idea you had in mind makes total sense. I too want to control my document via styles.

#4 - if/when your claim for HTML5 is true then this request is also very cool. This would make prototyping more akin to real life usage.

#3 indeed this would be cool

Nice ideas!
