Mousing over Dynamic Panel should display tabs.

As I work with Dynamic Panels, I find that I am spending a great deal of time clicking in different areas to select the correct item or layer. It is particularly difficult to select the Dynamic Panel so I can view the tabs across the top. Users have to select a very thin line, very difficult if there are many items within the Dynamic Panel (a very common scenario). I keep accidentally selecting items within the panel, instead of the panel itself.

I would suggest making it much easier to make the tabs across the top display (the most common reason for selecting a Dynamic Panel). I would suggest the following:

1) When user hovers mouse over Dynamic Panel or the area where the tabs are, the Tabs display.

2) When user selects a tab, it selects the layer.

3) (not sure about this one) When user moves mouse away for Dynamic Panel, the tabs disappears, perhaps after a one second delay.

I think this will make it much easier to work within a Dynamic Panel.

We are already working on how to improve the usability of the dynamic panel so this is really helpful. Thanks.

Great! I think overall the usability of Justinmind is very high, but the Dynamic Panel stands out as something difficult to use. You should also not be afraid of asking for help from your customers. Because you make software for UX designers, you should be able to get some very high-quality (and free) usability testing and advice. I would be happy to participate.

Thanks so much! We have some ideas in mind that I would like to test. Would you like to be a beta tester for the dynamic panel when we have it?

Absolutely. Would I be able to install the beta version of Justinmind and still run the production version? I am a little nervous about doing real projects on beta software.

Sure. Well, I must say that we haven't the beta version yet. Anyway you can have several versions of Prototyper installed and work with any of them without any troubles.

Great! Let me know what I can do to help. I think that you have a great piece of software and would love to help you work out the final bugs/usability issues.

I don't see any way to select a Dynamic Panel, only in the Outline...
