Mouse Over event (Change Style) prevents Select List from working

Angela shared this problem 5 years ago
Solved

I am attempting to create a hover control effect by setting the default transparency of select lists in tables to 100%, and then on Mouse Over event set the transparency of the Select List to 0%. The intended effect is that the control becomes visible when the user rolls over it.

Unfortunately, it appears that the Mouse Over event is preventing the Select List from functioning at all.

I tested it out and I could swear it was working at first, but now the lists won't drop if I have a Mouse Over event on any Select List object.

any ideas on how to make this work?

Thanks very much in advance.

Hi Angela,

We aren't able to reproduce the problem. Please do you mind to send us your prototype (or a simple example) to jim.support(at)justinmind.com?

Best regards.

Hi Angela,

Thank you for send us your prototype, it helped us to reproduce your issue.

I know it could sound a little strange, but it seems that the interactions defined "onDrag" are preventing all the selections list to be expanded even if the selection lists are on a different screen.

In your case the "Non-functioning Dropmenu" screen contains two labels("Notes") with a pair of interactions defined "onDrag". If you want you can check by yourself that the prototype works correctly if you remove these actions..

I apologize for the problem, this bug is currently fixed and will be included on the next update(version 5.5) planned to be released in few weeks.

Best regards.
