Is there a way to create a sticky or real footer?

I have created a prototype where each page has is a different hight and the content within those pages can expand vertically when you click on an object (like an accordion). This is a standard functionality on any real website.

Is there a way in Prototyper to simulate or properly setup a footer that will be pushed down by the content within the body of a page?

There is one. You can use the Layout properties of the dynamic panels to do it. Take a look at this tutorial for further information: http://www.justinmind.com/prototyper/...

I'll take a look and see if I can apply this technique to my project. Thank you.

I am already using this technique for other interactions in my prototype however, this will not work if the footer is part of a master and the scalable content is in a screen using that master in the background. Is this correct?

There needs to be a way to define a footer that acts like a real one so that it is always pushed down by content above it.

In my case, my prototype has a two-column layout where in some cases the left navigation (left column) may be taller than the main content area (right column) or vise-versa.

What can I do in that situation?

I think the best in your case is to have the footer in a master and just place it manually to the right position in each screen
