i arranged 16 rectangles in a 4 by 4 shape.
upon clicking 2 rectangles i want to connect a line between them.
can i make a copy of a line, resize, and move it? or do i have to make all the line components in advance?
Do you want to do this in simulation or when working with prototyper?
When working with prototyper you can copy and paste it.
When simulating you can move it arrount but the best practice would be to have all the possible lines hidden and show them as needed with events.
thanks for the reply! i meant the simulation.
i'm trying to make a prototype where any two rectangles can be connected by a line without the need to make a hidden line for each. the amount of options is 16! (factorial). reducing to less than 16 doesn't show the point im trying to make in the prototype. in the real site i will have many more.
therefore i would like to know if there is a non-sisyphus way to make an interaction that after two clicks (one for each rectangle) makes a line that connects the two.
Unfortunately I can't think of a quick way to simulate this other than the way I suggested.
I'll let you know if I come up with a better way to simulate this but I believe the number of lines is 15+14+13...+1=120, not 16! in case you are willing to draw 120 lines but not 16!. Copying and pasting and moving the lines shouldn't take that long.
