iPad screen resolution, image bleed creates larger screen in simulation + device view

Solved

Building for an iPad using the 1024 x 768 resolution size.

If a screen has a large image that "bleeds" off the edge of the canvas, when viewing in simulation or viewing prototype file on the iPad the screen does not "crop" to the 1024 x 768 screen resolution. Those screens with bleed images are as wide as the images on that screen that bleed past the canvas edge.

Is there a setting that within Prototyper Pro that will trim every screen to 1024 x 768 regardless of content on the individual screen?

Avoid going over the size of the canvas. If it is a large image, you can either resize the image or use the crop image tool. Also, take note that there are lines that show the edges of the canvas.

Thanks. This is the first prototyped pro project so my web developer-photoshop mind is still transitioning to this framework.

Hi John--I am having this same issue. I'm working on a mobile project. When I export to PNG, I get the entire artboard, not just the canvas. It's not a very good solution to just work on the canvas when no matter what, the entire artboard shows. So, is there a fix for this in the works?

You can change the resolution of your prototype .

File -> New -> Prototype -> choose custom -> enter width and height -> next -> OK

John--I'm actually using one of the Prototyper pre-made 320x468 mobile templates. Hmm...
