How to select multiple rows in a data grid using Shift Select

I want to be able to select a row in a datagrid then hold down the "shift" key and click on a row a few lines down to select and highlight all the rows in between. This is a common feature of most tables.

Can you help explain how this can be done?

thanks!

How are you selecting the row now? Are you using check boxes or are you using some kind of visual effect?

I am selecting checkboxes. So I want to be able to check the first check box in the data grid then hold shift and select the last checkbox in the datagrid, and all the rows inbetween including the ones I checked get selected and highlighted.

I've checked it and I don't find a way to do that. So sorry.

Is there a way to click a check box at the top of the data grid which on click will select all data grid rows? [I don't know what this interaction is called.]
