I have two drop down combo boxes. The first is linked to a 'US States' datamaster. I want the second to dnamically link to different datamasters for Cities when I select a state from the first list. Is it possible to do this?

Thanks Victor,

As a follow up - can i make a dynamic link to Data masters for a drop down list?

Sure, just select the Data Master as the "data source" of a drop down (click on the "pencil" icon in properties and select the option Data Master). The attributes that the drop down will show are those defined in the Data Master Descriptor.

Sorry, i should have mentioned that I am trying to dynamically link a second drop down to one or other datamaster, depending on user selection from the first drop down. I am able to do this by adding events, as explained in the turorial; just wondering if i can dynamically change the datamaster a drop down points to.... thanks

The only way I can think of is using the setvalue event and set the Data Master you want as the value.

I'm looking to do exactly this, but I'm very new to JustInMind.

@Victor or anyone else, might you be able to add some more detail on how to use the setvalue to accomplish conditional dropdown options based on a data master?

Thanks in advance for any pointers!
