Hi here is what i am looking to solve I have a prototype in which the objective is to assemble different components of a garment to create the whole the choices are on a scroll-able menu I want to know is ther away to have the user to create the item say consisting ot 2-3 different components and have that created image loaded into the next screen. after completing the garment they can then apply textiles through a clicking on the fabric type and on the garment part they want to apply this fabric to. currently in the prototype the user is limited to one type of garment component and one textile I want to simulate more choice in the proto. Second question is I asked the community if there is a way to have the action completed in other dynamic panels before a specific panel can be activated. Said another way If i have 4 dynamic panels hoe do I created the conditions so that the actions or links for panels 1,2,3 have been activated ( initiated or completed) before the action assigned to panel 4 can be initiated? I want to give the fullest experience of crating the garment and how the app will look and feel

Hello,

Both things you are trying to achieve can be solved using Variables.

Regarding your first problem with textile types, create a Variable for each garment part. Using the action 'Set Value' set a value to each variable when a textile is selected. Once the user gets to the summary page, just check your variables. Remember variables keep their value across all the pages of your prototype. You can set and retrieve their value in any page at any time.

As for your second question, just use the same idea. Create a variable so you can keep track of what panels have been activated.

I hope that helps.

Best regards

Hi Victor and Bernat,

Please refer me to an video or instruction to create the variable.

Bernat and Victor I shared the prototype with the customer service portal. Here is where i am unclear is how do i create a variable to deal with that all the interactions are triggered by dynamic panels so I have no pull downs or written text to use for the variable can you review the file i sent you and make suggestions/ If there was a way we could talk or Skype I think this could be resolved quickly.

Thank you

Hello,

Here's a tutorial about creating and using variables: http://www.justinmind.com/prototyper/...

In your case, you don't need any text input to use for the variable. Just create a 'Set Value' action that sets a plain text to the variable when a textile is set. Check this simple attached example which passes a variable to the next screen depending on your selection.

Best regards
