just wondering how I add an element to an existing dynamic panel so that it inherits the attributes of that dynamic panel?
Unfortunately there's no style inheritance in Prototyper. Dynamic Panels just behave as containers and they do not affect the style of its content. However, Prototyper provides you with other tools to easily copy style attributes from one component to another. The feature I would recommend you to use is the 'Copy style' brush. Select the source element first (the one you want to copy the style from) and then select the 'Copy style' tool (at the top main workspace menu). Finally, select the target element. I hope it helps.
Thanks but how do you 'add' an element to a dynamic panel?
Example, I have a 'label' and i want to add it to a rectangle which i transformed into a dynamic panel?
Hi there, any assistance is appreciated :)
What I am exactly talking about is what Victor says in the following thread, quote:
''You can place all your content inside a dynamic panel ...''
How do you 'place all content inside the dynamic panel'?
Don't worry, I have worked it out using the 'Outline/Navigator' Toolbar
Actually, I haven't figured it out.
How do you do it?
You only need to drag the element you want to insert and drop it on the desired panel. Notice that if the panel shows a slightly transparent blue color, it means the panel is not editable and you will not be able to insert anything in it. To make the panel editable, first double click on it or right-click and select 'Edit content'.
awesome. Thanks :)
