Hide keyboard manually, or set "focus out" manually

Solved

I'm simulating a predictive search that populates a data grid as the user types into a search field. The keyboard pops up over the bottom of the screen as this happens. I want to make the keyboard go away as soon as the user clicks on the data grid, but this doesn't happen. The keyboard only goes away when the user clicks outside of the places where the results will appear. There doesn't appear to be any way to say "When focus out on search field, hide keyboard," or even to say, "When tapping on a data grid field, focus out on search field."

What's the workaround?

I have the same problem, I would like to trigger focus out on an element. Is there a way to do this without necessarily setting focus on another input field.

Hi,

If you click outside the text input the keyboard should disapear. If it is not can you send over the prototype so I can see the setting you have?

email to send the prototype to: jim.support at justinmind.com

Best,

Hi,

Unfortunately I can't think of a way to do this. But if you click outside the input field on something that isn't an input it should disappear so this funcitonality shouldn't be necessary.

Can you send the prototype over to the email you will find in my comment below so I can see what you are trying to do exactly?

Best,

Marc
