focus does not work in simulate, but works in usernote

Solved

I've created an input field with default text in it (gray, italicized). When a user clicks into the field, I want it to clear the text and change the color/style.

However, clearing the value and changing the style blurs the field (i.e. it can't be clicked into to type). No problem! Just add focus event to put it back in the field.

This works fine if I upload my prototype to usernote, but not if I try it with simulate (F5). Cost about 30 minutes of troubleshooting before I realized it was just the simulate feature.

I don't see this as a critical issue.

Hope this helps.

Could you send that prototype to jim.support at justinmind.com so we can take a look at it please?

Thanks in advance

Victor, I've sent an export of the page in question.

Also, I discovered in messing around with this is that it does technically work in simulate.

When I click into the field, the prompt appears, then the text is cleared and the prompt is gone. If I click again, the prompt does not reappear. However, if I just start typing anyways, I can still type into the field in simulate, it just doesn't appear to have a prompt.

This problem doesn't happen in usernote.

Thanks for clarifying. Then is not that bad isn't it? We will try to make the prompt appear in the simulation too.

Thanks!

Right, not bad at all, other than the time spent troubleshooting it originally.

Sure, wasting time is REALLY BAD. I didn't meant we won't fix it. We will.
