First Click in Simulate doesn't work

Hey,

I just started using Justinmind Prototyper, so I'm a newbie and I'm hoping this is a simple fix.

I have set up a super basic prototype of an iPhone 5 using Prototyper 5.5.0.

It has a rectangle (rectangle1) with a toggle event and a separate OnPageLoad event.

The OnPageLoad event hides a second rectangle (rectangle2) using the hide/show effect. The toggle shows rectangle2 using a hide/show effect with a slide transition.

When I go to simulate it, nothing happens on the first or second click. On the third and subsequent clicks it behaves as expected. Interestingly, I can click anywhere on the simulation twice and then when I click the third time (this time on the rectangle1) it behaves as normal.

In other words, it doesn't care where the first two click happen, as long as they happen, and then after that it's comfy and works properly.

What could be happening here?

Furthermore, this doesn't happen when I try the same thing with a website prototype. That is, is there something going on here with the scrolling feature of the iPhone?

Can you please send your prototype to us?

I'm sending it through now.

I've noticed the same problem with any prototype.

Directly after starting "Simulate" the first click or sometimes the first two clicks are not accepted. Nothing happens.

I suppose that it might be an issue with focus setting.

Another part of the problem may be, that in simulation mode the position of the mousepointer on mouseup must not at all differ from its position on mousedown.

Hi RaiSch,

could you tell me which version of Justinmind Prototyper and which browser are you using, please?

Best regards.

Hi Albert,

my version is 5.6.1

I'm working with Justinmind on Windows 7 (64bit)

So I have Internet Explorer, of course. But mostly I'm testing with Firefox and Chrome, always with the most recent versions.

Does the Simulate-feature in Justinmind use a browser component for displaying the content?

Hi RaiSch,

could you tell me the IE version, please?

It could be related to the loading process. Do you have any example in Usernote that I can test it?

Regards.

Hi Albert,

I have IE9 on my machine. The version number is

9.0.8112.16421

(both in 32 bit and 64 bit)

The problem does not occur in Usernote, only in "Simulate"-feature directly out of Justinmind.

Nevertheless here's one of my prototypes:

Hi RaiSch,

I will run some test. If you want, you can delete your public link to your project.

Best regards.
