Export variables or datagrid values to a csv file at run-time

Hello all,

Is it possible to export the variables values to a csv file at runtime by using a button?

It is enough, if it is possible, to export at runtime datagrid values to a csv file.

Thanks a lot!

When you say 'at runtime' you mean in the simulation?

Hi,

first of all thank you for your reply.

Yes, I mean during the simulation.

I need to export data during some simulation sessions in order to collect them and prepare some charts.

What kind of data do you want to collect? Maybe you can use one of the user testing tools we integrate with for that: http://www.justinmind.com/usernote/he...

I need to collect some kinds of information :-(

For example the operations performed by the user (e.g.: selected pages, selected rows in a grid, values inserted manually and so on...).

It's a sort of log about the operations executed by the user...the customer would like to analyze them "off-line" using csv files.

I was thinking to collect these data in a DataMaster and then export it at the end of the simulation just clicking an "Export results of simulation" button in the web page.

I hope you understood my requirement...

There are many remote user testing tools that can do that and integrate with Prototyper. Keynote or UserZoom for instance.

I guess this is not what I am searching for :-(

I need to release the prototype to several users and I need to collect their choises. If you think, for instance, about an e-commerce site I have to collect the items they have selected during the simulation and then I have to export this data to make an analysis...just this, nothing else.

I would like to avoid to use external tools.

What do you think? Thanks in advance.

Now I get it. The changes on the prototype's data are not persistent. There isn't any real data base handling the data, that's why it's a prototype. So I'm afraid there is no way to store the data a user changes in a prototype.

Is it possible to realize it by developing a widget/plugin?

I can't think of a way to do it with plugins. Maybe embedding real online forms like wuffo's using the HTML widget
