Empty screen flash between screen transitions in HTML/Usernote.

Solved

For some reason my prototype is flickering in between loading screens (nothing on screen for 1/10 second or so) when I export it to HTML/Usernote. It doesn't happen inside Prototyper. I do have some objects fading out in an interaction sequence just before linking to each new page.

It's fixed now. Just publish the prototype again.

Hi Victor, thanks for the quick fix and reply. However it is still flashing and actually the next screen appears it appears briefly in the 0,0 x,y position, then jumps to the position I have it all screens in the prototype in at 10,10.

Could you tell me your Usernote account's user name please?

You have to publish the prototype again. Select the option 'replacy by a new version' in the 'actions' right menu.

I've checked your account. You can remove this email now from here.

Thanks for the quick reply Victor. The white flash is gone but it still jumps between screens the first time I went through the prototype after republishing it but then the second time the animation transitions were there. I think maybe the jumps are because of time to load images the first time?

Yes, it's because of the time to load the image. We thought the 'flashing' effect was a cleaner solution to that but we realized it wasn't. So we are still looking for a good way to tell the user to wait until everything is loaded.

That's good that they do load in advance though, wasn't aware of that. Any suggestions on how long they should wait before starting?

It depends on the screen and the images and interactions that it has. Anyway, they shouldn't wait more than a few seconds.
