Can't open the justinmind application!

I cannot open my justinmind prototyping application. When I click on the icon on my desktop, a window appears with the following message: "JVM terminated. Exit code=-1. -Xms256m...." and it keeps on with all kinds of strange messages. I have downloaded again the trial version (I have a permanent license), but the same message appears.

I have prototyper 4.1.1 for mac OS X 10.6.

What can I do? I cannot open the application and thus none of my .vp files.

Did it open before? If yes, what did you do since the last time you were able to launch it?

Yes, I've opened it many times since the new version was available. But now I can't. The last time I was able to launch it was this morning. And I haven't done anything since then, besided closing the application. The computer is working properly, and all other applications work. It seems to me some file used when opening the application must have dissappeared or been damaged. Meanwhile, I cannot work on my files!

Could you paste the entire error message please? Also, could you paste the content of the file logs.log that is located in your user home / justinmind / 4.1.1 please?

I cannot find any such logs.log file. Where exactly is it supposed to be? (I have a mac).

Sorry, I told you the wrong folder. Is located inside the .app file (contextual menu on the Justinmind icon -> Show package contents) / Resources / Java .

Have you created widgets or imported a widget library recently?

The only file I can find is a logs.log.1 file in the Justinmind Prototyper 4.0 folder I deleted after I couldn't open the application (before reinstalling). The last bit of content (it goes on forever with the same code) is:

In the folder you're telling me, I cannot find any such file, neither in the old justintime folder, nor the one I downloaded an hour ago after the crash. The only similar file I can find in that folder is log4j.properties.

Yes, I imported widgets from your web (iphone widgets, etc) but more than a week ago, and I didn't use them this morning before the problem.

Could you delete the application and install it again please? (Just to discard some possible issues)

I did that before, but I'll do it again. I guess I simply have to delete the justintime icon from the applications folder, and download the trial version. Right?

Yes, that should be enough.

Bingo. I have run my mac's software update, including a new java update, and now I can open justinmind... phew. I think I tried to do it this morning but I didn't manage to update it, and since then I've been unable to open justinmind. Thanks, problem solved.

So the problem was a badly updated java?

I'm no computer person, but it seems so.
