affecting non-clicked rows in a data master without reloading the page

The user is adding items to a list by entering the "item name" in a field and clicking an "add" button. When the item is added to the bottom of the list, I want that item to be "selected". I've accomplished this by updating a variable with the new item name and then linking to the same page so that an "on page load" action changes the background color if the name matches the variable. All other items in the list are "unselected" that don't match the variable. Problem is, I don't want to reload the page (for other reasons)... is there a way to do this without reloading the page?

Hello Eric,

This sounds like a very specific case. Could you please provide your prototype so that I can look into this further?

Thanks

Hi Marjo.

I'm new to the community... how would I provide the prototype for you?

Thanks,

Eric

The basic idea is that I need radio button type selection on a list of items but I don't want to use radio buttons, I want to the user to click on the row.

Eric,

You could provide a public link from Dropbox so that I may download it.

Is your case similar to the 'Delete' tutorial, but instead is an 'Add' function?
