Ability to hide objects on my canvas

I know you can set objects to hidden when you simulate the prototype, but it is also extremely helpful to be able to hide objects while you are working on your canvas. If some of your things cover up other objects, you can just hide them temporarily while you work on the others.

This feature could easily be added to the "outline" view. Photoshop and Omnigraffle do these features very well.

There is a similar option already in prototyper. Next to the zoom drop down menu you can find a set of little buttons. One of those buttons have the hidden icon. If you click it all the elements marked as hidden disappear. To view those elements again just click the button again.

I don't understand how this feature works. It seems to only support one group of objects that you can hide/show. The control makes it seem like a global visible/invisible toggle, why not have visibility on a per-object basis?

Yes, it's a global visible/invisible, of course the right thing would have been to have visibility per-object. Well, we are humans and we make mistakes, surely we will do it in one of the updates (we even know how to do it, we will add that function in the outline view, at the left of each node from that tree we will add an eye icon to hide/show it, just like photoshop)

Awesome. Thanks for the response :)

I think there are two different scenarios:

1. Hide an object from the prototype (use the eye icon) until an action triggers its visibility (i.e. sliding menu with dynamic panels)

2. Toggle visibility of an object from the canvas while working so it is easier to work with objects behind it (i.e. useful to "hide" dropdown menus, popups, etc). This only affects your working space, but not the prototype.

Now there is only one way of hiding objects: change the (final) visibility status of an object with the "eye" icon.

Problem: if you forget to "unhide it", then it will not appear in the prototype (so you must go back and check which object is hidden and shouldn't be, and change it manually one by one, and re-export)

This option was included in the Outline tab some time ago.
