"On Tap" and "On Click" Problems on iPhone Prototyping

Steve Tubby shared this problem 5 years ago
Solved

Just downloaded trial version and worked through help screens and some tutorials so this may just be me!!

The sample (basic) prototypes provided do not appear to work:-(

For instance, in the simple "Log In Prototype"

1- When email address entered is not email@email.com and when password is not 1234, there is no "shaking" of the log in button.

2- When email address entered IS email@email.com and when password IS 1234, there is no link to the Home screen.

I think that I am using the iphone gesture correctly (positioning red button over filed and then left click because this works for entry of email address and password.

Can you explain?

You have to stay still when clicking, otherwise the 'emulator' thinks you're dragging. It's quite sensible...

Yes, it's quite sensible. I needed some time to figure this out. Can be very annoying if you iterate fast. Perhaps Justinmind could add a little threshold, so that the emulator recognizes "dragging" only if the element ist moved more than 2 or 3 pixels...

I will share it with our development team in order to test it and try to fix in a future update.

Great. I'd appreciate that very much. Thank you.
